Tennis star Olga Danilovic beat No. 11 seed Danielle Collins 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-4 in the second round at Roland Garros to claim her second career Top 10 win and her first in six years on May 30. Notably, the two were spotted battling in the recently concluded Italian Open 2024, which marked one of the most intense encounters of this year's clay-court season. Collins overcame being down a set and two sets to win 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8) after converting her fifth match point. She was later defeated by Iga Swiatek in the semi-final game.

Meanwhile, speaking about the game here, Danilovic and Collins' meeting was almost the same. The eventual champion once again overcame a set and a break disadvantage, and the Parisian reprise was just eight minutes shorter at two hours and thirty-five minutes. However, both players finished with 34 victories apiece, but Danilovic had seven fewer accidental errors (31 compared to 38) in the game.

She's been playing some great tennis and doing some great things out there: Collins

Collins, however, accepted before her that the opponent has been playing the magnificent last few games. In addition, the star player also talked about their last meeting at the Mutua Madrid Open 2024. The Florida-born star acknowledged that she was hoping to have a high-intensity match as her opponent has been in great form. The 30-year-old tennis legend has suffered a shocking exit from the ongoing French Open 2024, as she was a strong contender to win the marquee event.

"She's been playing some great tennis and doing some great things out there and pushed me and challenged me in the last match that we played. So I'm going to have to sit down, do my homework, and prepare for it at a high level because she knows how to play some high-level tennis. So I'm expecting to play a good match against her," Collins said after her first-round win.
