Emma Raducanu apologises to fan on social media; sweet gesture by the former US Open champion

The hype for the US Open main draw matches is on another level and we all will be looking forward to seeing which of the top stars will be competing for Grand Slam glory for the last time this season. There are some stars who are in great form right now, but there are also some stars who are looking to make a big comeback into the game. We all will be looking forward to seeing these players compete on the biggest stage right now. 

One of the biggest stars in the game who will be looking to make a huge impact in the upcoming tournament is none other than Great Britain's young star Emma Raducanu. The 2021 US Open champion has not been having the most consistent season and is recently coming back from injury as well. It will be great to see what the young prodigy will have in store for us going into this tournament where she had created history by being the first qualifier to win a major Grand Slam title.

Emma'a apology wins everyone's heart

It was great to see Raducanu look fit and on the court practicing for her upcoming tournament and to no doubt there was a loyal fanbase present at the practice session as well. However what won everyone's heart is the sweet gesture from the young star where her attention was caught by a young fan who said she was her favorite player. Unfortunately Raducanu missed the chance to meet her, but she made up for it with a post on social media saying " to the little girl far up in the stands who said I was her favourite player at this mornings practice, I heard you and it made my heart smile. I’m very sorry I had to rush off after practice and I couldn’t see you near the court but please forgive me and I hope to find a way to meet you or arrange a signed something or photo."

This tweet by the former World number 10 really won the hearts for the fans as well. This might have been one of the most sweetest gestures from the young superstar. This will increase the fanbase of the player and all we would hope that the fan finally gets to meet her idol and get the poster signed by Raducanu.
