After his semi-final win, the Serbian ace described the matchup as a “dream final.” Djokovic, the top seed, will face Musetti, the second seed. “No. 1 seed against the No. 2 seed is a dream final for probably every tournament. It’ll be great,” Djokovic said.
Speaking about his opponent, he added, “I have a very good win score against him, but he is still looking for a place at the ATP Finals and needs to win the tournament. He plays well and that’s what everyone wants to see: high-quality tennis.”
"Let’s make the stadium full and let’s enjoy tennis,” - Djokovic
So far, Djokovic holds an 8-1 head-to-head lead over Musetti. The pair last met earlier this season in the Miami Open round of 16, where Djokovic won in straight sets.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion also urged fans to show their support. “I invite everyone to come back tomorrow. Let’s make the stadium full and let’s enjoy tennis,” he said.

Meanwhile, Musetti, who is eyeing his third career title, reflected on his semi-final win and his mindset ahead of the final. “We both played a really fantastic match. The level was very high, and it was an intense match for the crowd,” Musetti said. “I wasn’t really lucky with finals in the past years. Hopefully this will change tomorrow. I am playing for two goals, and I am already focusing on tomorrow.”
