Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has shocked the world by making a big announcement on April 24th. The four-time Grand Slam winner has pulled out of the Mutua Madrid Open 2025 amid injury concerns. The fans were shattered by this news, as they won't be able to see their favourite player, Carlos Alcaraz, due to injury, while Jannik Sinner is amid a doping ban.

However, this tournament has now proved a great chance for other ATP players to dominate the clay courts in the absence of Sinner and Alcaraz. Notably, Novak Djokovic has a golden opportunity to mark his 100th ATP title win here.

The world number three has made this tough decision to pull out of the marquee event due to the injuries he sustained in the Barcelona Open 2025 final against Holger Rune. Notably, Alcaraz was seen sustaining leg injuries during the second set of the game, which disturbed his momentum and loss of the title. Notably, Alcaraz put up a great fight despite injury, but he ultimately failed against the Denmark star.

However, just a day ago, Carlos Alcaraz was seen addressing this issue. He has revealed that he is perfectly fine and recovered. The tennis player also talked about undergoing some tests, but the sources have revealed that he wanted to be at his full strength in the upcoming French Open 2025, for which he has pulled out from the current ATP 1000 Masters.

"To tell the truth, I'm fine; honestly, nothing out of the ordinary, I think. After two weeks with 10 matches in 12 days, including travel without much time for recovery, I believe that eventually the body starts giving you small warnings, right? I believe and trust that it's not going to be anything serious. Tomorrow I'll have some tests to see how it goes, but my feelings are positive. Today I also worked with the physiotherapist and noticed some positive things, so we'll see. I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary," Alcaraz said.
