'Bro is always jealous of Djokovic'- Fans react to Rafael Nadal's statement on Carlos Alcaraz

The era of Tennis from the 2000s was dominated by three players who had given us some of the best matches we have ever witnessed. The players were none other than Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic who are also known as the big three in tennis. These individuals were the ones who took the game by storm and made sure they kept winning the big games and being certified legends in the future.

There is always a debate on which one of these players is the better out of the three where we have seen Roger Federer conquer the Grass courts in Wimbledon, Rafael Nadal get the better of everyone on clay and Djokovic though has the best record on Hardcourt, but still has great numbers in Wimbledon and French Open. Though Djokernole has won the most slams with 24 to his name, there is still an ongoing debate as to who is the more accomplished player in the setup.

Nadal's statement creates buzz on social media

There is no doubt that the big three have a great legacy which not many can touch right now, but the player who has been causing the most buzz is Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard has currently won his fourth Grand Slam title before turning 22 and is one of the biggest upcoming talents in tennis right now. There is no doubt Nadal is proud of the success of the young Spanish player, but it is his statement regarding him that has caused a lot of drama. The King of Clay has officially stated " Whatever the tournament and the surface, he will be the favourite. I was the favourite on clay, on grass it was Roger. On hard, it was between Roger and Novak then me, but none of us was the favourite before each tournament." 

This statement has caused a bit of a problem among the fans as Nadal had ignored the achievements of Novak Djokovic who has had a great record on all surfaces. This has even caused Novak Djokovic fans to turn on him as well. This might be taken slightly out of context, but no one had thought that Nadal would sideline the Serbian saying that Alcaraz was the only player who is the favorite on all the surfaces.

Very true. Peak Roger was favourite on grass always. Rafa was favourite on clay always. Novak was favourite on Hard courts and later on grass.

But Carlos is favourite on all three surfaces now.
