Harriet Dart’s Unusual Request to Umpire Leads to Online Uproar (Photograph: Twitter)
Tennis star Harriet Dart has recently issued an apology after a controversial incident during her first-round game against Lois Boisson at the ongoing Rouen Open. The British sensation was caught on the court microphones urging the chair umpire to tell Boisson to wear deodorant.
This incident took place during a Round 32 clash in the second set of the game. The world number 110 Dart lost the game with a scoreline of 6-0, 6-3. Notably, the 28-year-old tennis star was seen making a bizarre request to the chair umpire, who did not respond to her. Surprisingly, her opponent, Boisson, seems unaware of the comments made by Dart against her when the two players were facing each other on the court.
“Can you tell her to wear deodorant?” she repeated the request, adding, “Because the smell. Can you tell her to wear deodorant? She smells really bad.”

Why would the umpire be responsible for a player’s body odor?
Can she smell it that far?
