Taylor Fritz led USA to win the 2025 United Cup title

Notably, the California-born star had a terrific start to the 2025 year, having won the United Cup already as he bolstered his preparation for the first Grand Slam of the year. Fritz, alongside WTA number three Coco Gauff, led the USA to win the title earlier this month. Coco Gauff defeated world number two Iga Swiatek 6-4, 6-4 to put her nation on board against Poland before Fritz clinched the title after a stunning win over Hubert Hurkacz.

The two star players have already won the opening round of the Australian Open 2025 and aim to maintain their red-hot form heading to the next game.

"It's amazing. It's almost more fun to win the team events because you have people to celebrate with afterwards. Coco made it easy for me as the MVP on the team. It definitely helped my job a lot, and it's great to get it a second time. It's great to win a team event—the only team event I've ever won, so I'm super excited," Fritz said after notching his fourth singles victory of the competition.
