The World of tennis will be ready for the Shanghai Masters, set to begin on October 2nd. This will be another important tournament to look forward to. This is an ATP 1000 tournament so there will be some big points in the mix for the players, that could make a difference in their rankings going forward.

This tournament will feature the top four players in the setup with Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, and Novak Djokovic among the top favourites and seeded players.

The winner last season was Polish number one player Hubert Hurkacz, who will miss out in the upcoming tournament due to injury. This means there will be a new winner in this event. This will be one of the last few ATP 1000 events of the season and the players would want take advantage of this opportunity.

Who will be the favourites in the tournament?

There is no doubt that World number 1 Jannik Sinner will be a favourite once again looking at his incredible record on Hardcourt, however, we cannot ignore the likes of Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz, who have had some decent performances as well.

Even though it  has not been a great season for Novak Djokovic, we cannot keep him out of the tournament as well. Some players like Taylor Fritz and Andrey Rublev have been having some great tournaments on the hard court as well. These players will be the ones that will make this tournament interesting going into the tournament.

There could also be some surprise packages since players like Marin Cilic have also made the draw as well. In fact, he is not the only dark horse in the tournament with likes of Ben Shelton and Arthur Fils have surprised us with some of their performances and have the ability to win big tournaments and compete against the top-ranked players in the setup.
