The WTA competition is growing rapidly right now with all the players giving some great competition with many players coming into form. Although the big three in the game right now are Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina. These are the players who have been ruling the game so far and are currently at their peak this season with some big wins in 2024 so far.

The player who has had the biggest achievement out of the three is Aryna Sabalenka right now. The Belarusian is currently the number 2 ranked player on WTA known for her out-and-out aggressive game. Sabalenka has won 2 grand slams and 14 WTA singles titles so far, establishing herself as one of the top players in the game right now. Sabalenka is right now still struggling to win an ATP title after winning the Australian Open for the second consecutive time. She will still have a chance in Madrid going in as the defending champion.

Controversial statement breaks the internet

It is always important for public figures to think before they give a statement and this is where Sabalenka got all the attention for speaking on men's and women's Tennis when she said “ I prefer to watch men’s Tennis rather than women’s Tennis, I feel that there is more logic and it is more interesting to see.” This created a lot of mixed reactions on social media with some people agreeing that the men's Tennis are better while some have just outright blasted the 2-time Australian Open winner. This statement has created a big debate among people and experts all around the world.

There will be people who will have contrasting opinions on this statement which Sabalenka could have managed to answer differently. It is not the statement that seems wrong but the way it was said hurts people thinking that she is insulting WTA players and tournaments. There might have been a different context to the answer which the iconic athlete failed to convey the right way.
