Joe Hendry speaks on his journey in WWE NXT

It has been a huge splash in the wrestling world ever since Joe Hendry made his way to WWE NXT. Both WWE and TNA have worked out a talent program where stars from TNA have been appearing in NXT.

While speaking about this to the “Sports Guys Talk Wrestling” podcast show, Joe Hendry said. “I believe I’m the face of TNA Wrestling. I don’t need to believe that, you only need to look at the metrics, you only need to use Google Trends to see who the face of TNA Wrestling is and it’s me. So what needs to happen next is I need to go for the TNA World Championship so I need to put myself in a position to become the number one contender and I need to go after what is mine.”

The 36-year-old also said “As John Cena said to Cody Rhodes, when you don’t have the title, you need to be the champion without the belt and I am the champion without the belt it’s time for me to be the champion with the belt”

During his chat with Comic Book’s Matthew Aguilar, Joe Hendry went on to say, “I’m very grateful to TNA and WWE because TNA have allowed me to explore different avenues to build my brand and therefore help lift TNA’s brand as well,” Joe Hendry said. “I think that I’ve had a very good collaborative working relationship with TNA. So when I bring something to them that I’d like to do, or even they’ll bring something to me that they maybe think I could do, I think that myself and TNA have an opportunity to do historic business for the company.”
