Toni Storm and Mariah May

AWE Dynamite's December 11 episode was broadcasted at Kansas City, Missouri's T-Mobile Center. Included in the company's impressive performance this week was a match for the AEW Women's World Title. Mariah May's AEW Women's World Title was at stake when she finally faced Mina Shirakawa. The two had been waiting for this for a while, particularly after May turned on Shirakawa at Full Gear 2024.

This week's AEW Dynamite night came to an end with this title fight. They entered overrun time, as the contest continued beyond the show. The match was clearly going to be a long one as Mina kicked out a May Day finisher. Mariah May was nearly brought down by Mina, who put up a Glamorous Driver.

Mariah May ultimately picked up the clean pinfall after hitting a Storm Zero. Thunder Rosa watched this match closely from her seat at ringside this entire time. Then, without the Timeless identity, Toni Storm returned with her old songs. As the event came to an end, Toni Storm, wearing the cap backwards with a mark beneath her eye, posed for the audience.

Recently "retired" from professional wrestling, Toni Storm is suddenly back in the fold. Since May defeated her to capture the title at AEW 'All In' in August, Storm did not participate in AEW. She participated in CMLL and STARDOM competitions while she was abroad.

Toni Storm back after four months

Toni Storm returned to take over some unfinished business after nearly four months. While Storm stood close to the stage, May watched in shock. Before the Worlds End, viewers may anticipate further violence between the two former comrades as she ends her rivalry midway against May. Mariah May defeated Toni Storm to win her title at All In 2024.

Since that impressive win at Wembley Stadium, she has been playing well. May's future will have to be determined as the business moves closer to Worlds End on December 28. In her interview with SB Nation, Toni Storm made an emotional declaration following her final wrestling match in October. Before declaring her retirement in the interview, Storm referred to herself as a loser.
