WATCH: Jeff Hardy honors late WWE star Bray Wyatt in TNA

Pro Wrestling: At the age of 36, Bray Wyatt passed away due to COVID-19. After Wyatt passed away, WWE paid tribute to him with a unique program, Up to this point, Jeff, a current TNA star and former WWE star, has paid respect to the late Bray Wyatt.

One of the most popular WWE Superstars ever, Bray Wyatt has millions of fans all around the world. Having held the WWE and Universal titles simultaneously, he was one of the successful professional wrestlers. What made him most well-known were his terrifying pranks and creative storytelling. His last bout was at the 2023 Royal Rumble; because to a health issue, he was removed from the television.

At the age of 36, Bray Wyatt passed away on August 24, 2023, from a heart attack that resulted from COVID-19 complications. Subsequently, a number of wrestlers who were privy to the third-generation superstar would pay tribute to him in various ways. After Wyatt passed away, WWE paid tribute to him with a unique program, signed him to the Legends contract, and established the Wyatt Sicks organization, which is still active today. 

Up to this point, Jeff Hardy, a current TNA star and former WWE star, has paid respect to the late Bray Wyatt. Jeff Hardy is renowned for his inventive face paints and has made numerous memorable appearances with them throughout the years. Similarly, at the TNA Impact tapings from the Boeing Center in San Antonio, Texas on September 14, 2024, Jeff made an appearance with a face paint that resembled the mask of Bray Wyatt, dubbed "The Fiend."

The TNA audience was appreciative of Hardy's facial paint. The Hardys & Masha Slamovich triumphed against Tasha Steelz & The System in a mixed tag team bout that took place during the program.  Even though Wyatt and Jeff Hardy didn't have a plot aspect on screen, they did cross paths backstage throughout Wyatt's battle and alliance with "Broken" Matt Hardy. Despite this, both men held a high regard for one another.

WWE choose to carry on Wyatt's creative legacy 

On the first anniversary of Bray Wyatt's passing one month prior, Matt Hardy shared a video from WrestleMania 34, wherein Bray and Matt came together on the main platform for the first time and gave a heartfelt homage to the late Bray.  "We lost a great man, an incredible father, and one of the most creative minds in wrestling history, Windham Rotunda, exactly one year ago," stated Matt Hardy. My love and miss you, brother. God bless you, my competitor.

Nonetheless, WWE choose to carry on Wyatt's creative legacy with The Wyatt Sicks stable because he was still competing at the time of his passing and well-liked by both his peers and fans. As a result, Wyatt's characters from Firefly Funhouse, which delighted his followers immensely, continue to carry on his legacy.
