Veteran wrestling star Bryan Danielson battled the odds and won the AEW World Title on Sunday. The former WWE Star beat Swerve Strickland in the main event game of the AEW All-In event.

It was an important match in his wrestling career with Bryan Danielson. He had to win the game to win the title as well as protect his job. Had Danielson lost the game he would have been forced to retire from his wrestling career.

As the game ended, a bloodied Bryan Danielson was seen in tears. Confetti began raining down as the fans stood up and applauded the wrestling star. The moment was made more amazing when he was joined by his wife Brie Danielson in the ring with their kid and other friends to celebrate the moment in front of the world.

Bryan Danielson wins to prolong his career

The last few weeks have seen massive anticipation for the battle between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland. The former AEW champion had challenged Danielson to put his career on the line against his title.

Bryan Danielson agreed to the terms and the match was set for the AEW All-In event in London. Just as Strickland was starting to dominate the game, Hangman Page came out and attacked Strickland’s friend Nana who was at ringside.

This distraction allowed Bryan Danielson to hit his famous Knee in the face two times. Strickland tapped out when Bryan put him in the face lock as the title changed hands to bring about emotional scenes in London.

Bryan Danielson had earlier said that he wanted to retire from Full-time wrestling this year. During an interview with Jim Ross, the former WWE Star had said that he needed to have a neck surgery later this year.

Speaking at the post-match media event the new AEW Champion was quoted by Sportskeeda as saying

“Honestly, I haven't thought about my future at all past tonight. So I don't know, I don't know what's gonna happen, but I'll be there in Champaign, Illinois [for Dynamite] on Wednesday, and between now and then, we'll figure it out, and I'm sure I'll have an announcement then."
