Matt Hardy spoke about the potential return of his brother, Jeff Hardy. The AEW star has been out of action since February 2024. During the match in AEW Rampage earlier this year, Guevara mistakenly landed his knee on Jeff's nose. While he did claim a win in the match, Jeff went on to have a broken nose. It has led to him being out of action in the last few months.

Guevara has been suspended from AEW since then. In the question and answer segment recently, Hardy opened up on the potential return of Jeff to the ring. The former US Champion claimed that Jeff visited a doctor recently in AEW and was deemed to be clear a couple, of days ago. Matt added that Jeff is fit to be competitive in the ring and could be in action anytime soon.

Matt and Jeff are regarded to be one of the greatest tag team partners of all time. Their WrestleMania match against Dudley Boyz and Christian-Edge is regarded to be one of the greatest in the history of Pro wrestling. While they were in WWE in the ruthless aggression era and the PG era, the duo made a move to AEW in the last few years for better opportunities as singles wrestlers.

'Matt reached out to WWE and maybe they're interested in doing something' - Ryback

In an interview on the Ryback show a few weeks ago, the former WWE Superstar believed that the Hardy Boys could have one last run in the biggest Pro Wrestling company. The former member of the Nexus claimed that Matt could have spoken about their run in WWE the final run of him and his brother in the Stanford-based company.

Ryback believed Matt to be in AEW until Jeff became a free agent. "My theory on it is possible, not knowing, obviously, is maybe Matt reached out to WWE and maybe they're interested in doing something with him and Jeff one last time, or something of that nature, right? And so maybe he just keeps himself busy here until Jeff is a free agent, possibly?" said Ryback.
