Pakistan's champion Gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, won the Gold medal in the Javelin throw competition at the Paris Olympics 2024, ending Pakistan's 30-year Gold medal drought. It was a proud moment for the entire nation as he outplayed India's Neeraj Chopra, who finished second and bagged the Silver medal. Moreover, Nadeem made a new Olympic record with his 92.97-meter throw.

However, he's in the news this time for the wrong reason. He was seen having a conversation with the UN-designated terrorist organization Lashkar-E-Taib in a video that went viral on social media. This has sparked a massive controversy on the internet, where people criticized him for his involvement with the terrorist organization.

Nadeem received a lot of appreciation and a cash prize for his heroics from the Pakistan government and other people. His welcome was grand at the Lahore Airport, and he received Pakistan's highest civil award, PKR 153 million rupees, and a gold crown.

That throw was enough for me to get the gold: Arshad Nadeem

Arshad Nadeem's magic performance in the Olympics won him the Gold medal, lifetime recognition, and a lot of appreciation. The most important thing was his confidence in himself before going for the throw. He revealed to NDTV that he was confident of throwing beyond 92.97 meters in the Olympics. Coming from injury, that throw was quite brilliant, and he deserves all the attention that he's receiving.

"I am thankful to the nation. Everyone prayed for me, and I was hopeful of doing well. Over the years, I got a knee injury and recovered, and worked hard on my fitness. I was even confident of throwing beyond 92.97m, but that throw was enough for me to get the gold. I will continue to work hard and give my best in the days and months to come. I am planning to throw beyond this mark as well," said Nadeem as quoted by NDTV.
