Liu Yuchen has taken the internet on storm with his love proposal at the Paris Olympics 2024 to his long-time mate in Badminton. The Chinese pair of Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong won the gold medal in the final in straight sets 21-8, 21-11. While their performance on the court was nothing short of exceptional, it was the moment after the match that caught the attention of the netizens.

As the Chinese won her final, Liu was in the arena on his knee with a ring in his hand proposing to his long-time mate. "I’ll love you forever! Will you marry me?" asked Yuchen. Huang had no hesitation in replying, "Yes!". The crowd went berserk on seeing the unique proposal. Liu was a silver medalist in the men's singles event at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

After the event, the star player spoke to the official handle of the Olympics. She claimed that it was an indescribable moment for her. Yaqiong claimed that it was like the icing on the cake after winning the gold medal in Badminton. "I cannot describe the feeling I have because I am happy, happy, happy.
