Xavi provides massive advice to upcoming Barca coach ahead of 2024/25 season

FC Barcelona had a poor season as they failed to win a single trophy in the 2023/24 season. The Blaugranes management have been facing huge criticism after they sacked Xavi. Barca management convinced the Spaniard to stay in the club after he announced his departure in January. But despite some problems between the manager and the club they decided to part ways with the 2010 World Cup winner. He won the La Liga in his first full season with the club despite that he was sacked. 

The club finished second in the league after they won their final game against Sevilla on Sunday, which was also the last game for the 44-year-old manager for the club. As per the numerous reports, Hansi Flick is set to take over from the upcoming season, with the former Bayern Munich manager have been without a club since he left Germany national team. 

Ahead of Flick's takeover, the Spanish manager on the weekend in the post match conference as he explained the reasons and how the game panned out for his impending exit. He believes that winning the La Liga and Spanish Super Cup and trusting several young footballers during his spell, the work of his was underappreciated and was not given much value. 

Will Flick be able to fill in the shoes of Xavi?

The former footballer, gave a befitting reply when asked what advise he would provide to his successor, he replied that he should prepare to tackle a massive challenge in the Catalonian club. He was even questioned of whether he thinks the next manager will be treated less harshly as he comes from outside of Spain.

The former manager said, "I would tell him that he has to face a very difficult situation. To the new manager, I tell you: You will suffer. This is a difficult job and you have to be patient. I don’t know. The only thing that can save you at this club is winning. This is a fact, whether you’re a foreigner or not."
