Wrexham has been promoted to the EFL Championship for the 2024/25 season. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney once planned to transform the club's SToK Racecourse home into a stadium with up to 55,000 seats, with the latter being more optimistic about future plans to move up the league table. The club has already made up their mind to make one big signing as they set out their transfer plan ahead of the summer window.

Rob McElhenney has decided to offer former Wales international Gareth Bale. The Welsh captain has been one of the finest footballers of this generation. He has already hung up his boots in January 2023 after a glittering career which saw him win five UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid and score a record-breaking 41 goals in 111 appearances for the national side as well. The bicycle kick in the final of the UCL against Liverpool will be one of the greatest ever goal scored in the final of the tournament's history.

The Red Dragons co-owner will try to convice the 34-year-old footballer as he will give him the provided time and flexibility he needed to get in any rounds of golf he required. As the footballer's biggest passion after football has been golf. Bale has often been spotted playing golf during his free time.

Gareth Bale is still technically available: Rob McElhenney

Way back in 2021 Rob said, "Gareth Bale is still technically available! I don’t know, I made the plea last year and I’m just going to tell Gareth that the offer’s still on the table. We’ll let you off for golf, whenever you need to get off. As long as you come to training once or twice a week we can figure out how to get you 10 minutes on the pitch. And the golf courses – Wales is amongst the most beautiful countries in the world!"

Speaking at London Stadium on Sunday afternoon he said, "We’re about to find that out this week. We go to Wrexham very soon and we’re going to sit down and talk about that with (manager) Phil (Parkinson)."
