Xabi Alonso has been one of the finest defensive midfielders of his generation. Alonso was part of Spain's famous team from 2008-2014 and won every possible trophy in international football. The former Real Madrid midfielder had an illustrious career in the history of the game and played with and against some of the greatest footballers of all time. The 42-year-old coach has gained immense success in his playing days and currently, he has also gained popularity for coaching.

The German champions are currently competing for the treble as they are in the final of the DFB Pokal and will face AS Roma in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League. The side is on an unbeaten run of 46 matches and it is a record across Europe's “big five” leagues in the 2023/24 season. Alonso's side is on the verge of breaking Arsenal's 2003-04, 49 games unbeaten record with three games remaining in the domestic league two leg semi-finals in European competition and one game in DFB Pokal final.
