Scotland and Switzerland are playing match No.2 in the UEFA Euro 2024. The Tartan Army did not have the best opening game of the tournament as they were thrashed by host Germany in the first game by 5-1. On the other hand, the Swiss have a good outing against Hungary in the first game winning it 3-1. Both sides made some changes in their starting 11 for the game and Xherdan Shaqiri came back in the team for the Swiss.

The former Liverpool man marked his return in style as he pipped Cristiano Ronaldo in becoming the first European to score in each of the last six major tournaments. He equalised emphatically for Switzerland against Scotland. In the 26th minute, Anthony Ralston's backpass was capitalised on, bringing the game level. He bent a superb shot into the top left corner, giving Angus Gunn no chance of making it 1-1.

Scotland opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the Group A match in Cologne's RheinEnergieStadion, Scott McTominay's left-footed drive deflected in off Fabian Schar. The first half ended 1-1 with no sides finding the chance to take the lead. Switzerland had the chance but the goal was ruled out due to offside.
