Roy Keane was involved in a heated altercation with an Ipswich Town fan after the club's 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Sunday. The United legend, who was serving as a pundit for Sky Sports at Portman Road, witnessed Ruben Amorim leading the team for his first match in charge.

Keane made his return to the ground where he served as manager from 2009 to 2011, a period that didn't quite meet the expectations of success.

Keane's heated altercation with a fan

During Sky Sports' post-match coverage of Sunday’s draw, the 53-year-old approached an Ipswich fan at the pitch side. Footage shared on X by Daily Mail reporter Nathan Salt captures him engaging in an animated yet heated exchange, pointing and chatting with the supporter. This interaction took place during a commercial break, but it was clear that their brief confrontation was very aggressive.

During a recent incident reported by the Daily Mail, a fan from the upper tiers at Portman Road expressed his dissatisfaction by verbally abusing Roy Keane.

In a separate video shared on social media, another fan remarked that Keane was a more effective pundit than a manager. In a moment of confrontation, Keane approached the fan and then stated he would wait for him in the car park. Thankfully, Keane was guided away from the situation before returning to his duties as a pundit, with his colleague Jamie Redknapp observing the exchange. "I'll wait for you at the car park." Keane screamed.

Keane finished his coaching tenure at Ipswich with a record of 29 wins out of 81 matches across all competitions, tallying 24 draws and 28 defeats during his time in 2011. Since departing Ipswich, he has taken on assistant coaching roles with Ireland, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest.

Now an influential pundit, he attended United's most recent Premier League match, which ended in their fourth draw of the season.
