David Coote snorting Drugs (allegedly)
Premise League referee David Coote is currently under scrutiny by the PGMOL and the FA in light of a video that reportedly depicts him making critical remarks about Liverpool and their former manager, Jurgen Klopp.
The 42-year-old is now facing additional examination after The Sun published footage suggesting he was seen using a substance white in colour and believed to be cocaine, during his officiating duties at this summer's Euro's 2024.

A man is seen in a video using a US banknote to snort a line of white powder. According to The Sun, this video was recorded on July 6, just one day after Coote served as a support VAR official during the quarter-final match between Spain and Germany at Euro 2024. It is alleged that Coote recorded this clip in his hotel room and sent it to a friend.

Update from PGMOL
PGMOL acknowledges the serious nature of the allegations and is committed to a thorough investigation. In light of this, David Coote has been suspended while they prioritize his well-being and provide the necessary support during this time.
“We are aware of the allegations and are taking them very seriously," a PGMOL spokesperson said. "David Coote remains suspended pending a full investigation. David’s welfare continues to be of utmost importance to us and we are committed to providing him with the ongoing necessary support he needs through this period. We are not in a position to comment further at this stage.” a spokeperson from PGMOL added.
At present, Coote is also suspended by UEFA and will not officiate any Premier League matches while the investigation is ongoing. Depending on the findings, he may face an aggravated misconduct charge following an incident where he reportedly referred to Klopp as 'German C***t'. PGMOL' will refrain from further comments until the investigation is completed, ensuring a fair process for all involved.
