Manchester United won their first pre-season game on Saturday when they beat Scottish side Rangers by 2-0 margin. It was an easy win as Amad Diallo gave the Red Devils the lead before Joe Hugill scored the second.

There was a massive moment of slip-up at the end of the game. MUTV which is the official channel for Manchester United invertedly showed the third kit during the course of the interview.

Once the interviewer realized the mistake she immediately moved past and the feed was cut short. By that time it was already seen by a massive amount of fans on MUTV and by many fans on social media.

Manchester United set for huge summer ahead

After the signing of Joshua Zirkzee and Lenny Yoro, the club is targeting one more defender and a midfield option. Manchester United have been priced out of a deal for Jarrad Branthwaite with the Everton side not ready to budge from their asking price.

The likes of Manuel Ugarte and Joao Neves have been touted as potential players to come to United. Just a few days ago it was reported that Ugarte had agreed personal terms with the club with just the fees left to be agreed between Man United and PSG.

One of the players who has been thought to leave is Brazilian superstar winger Antony. Erik Ten Hag while speaking to the media at the end of the game said “I'm not going to go into every player, but let me explain. In that first transfer window, Mason Greenwood seemed to be a leading candidate for that position, right winger. Other than that, we hardly had anyone there. Jadon Sancho can play on the right, but his most natural position is originally on the left wing”

Ten Hag also said “So when that went wrong with Greenwood we had to do something there. Number one on the club's scouting list was Antony. Then one and one is two, right? I had worked great with him for two years. He was the standout player in almost every Ajax Champions League match. So at the time, that wasn't a crazy choice”

United’s boss ended by saying “Especially in the first month, he certainly showed that potential. He scored three times in his first three games. After that it got harder - last season wasn't good. But I am still convinced that he has the potential to play at this club.”
