Swedish football club Kalmar AIK players put out a video of themselves shaving their bald. The reason behind the move as their skipper Markus Herman is suffering from cancer. All the players and the staff took to social media to record the act of shaving their heads bald. 

Once Markus Herman walked into the room he was overcome with emotions. The skipper could be seen trying to fight back his tears with the love shown by his fellow players and teammates. 

The moment has become a raging hit on social media with many fans posting emotional messages. The video has already got more than 300 K views and numerous likes, shares and retweets across the social media platforms. 

Massive show of support for Markus Herman 

According to the club reports, skipper Markus Herman was diagnosed with the deadly disease recently. Markus Herman hadn’t been feeling well for some time and later his entire body was engulfed with the ailment. 

Seeing their skipper and teammate suffer, the team decided to shave their head. Once Markus Herman saw this he was overcome with emotion as it was done with an intention to raise funds for his treatment. 

Once the video went viral many players and clubs came out in support of Markus Herman to show solidarity in his fight. The club invited the player, staff and others to help Markus Herman fight this situation. The club also put out their number and asked them to show support for the player. 

Markus Herman and his reaction has now gone viral and during an interview, the footballer said “It is a picture I will never be able to forget because it is the nicest gesture anyone has made for me. I just needed to hug everyone”

Markus Herman also said “Right now I am feeling strong and it is because of the people I have around me. If I hadn’t had those pillars in my life, I would have probably given up by now”

Kalmar AIK are one of the oldest clubs in Sweden and won their last match versus AIK with a 2-1 margin. The media and the players are all rallying behind their captain as he faces the toughest fight of his career.
