WATCH: Jude Bellingham assists Kylian Mbappe for an incredible finish

Getafe and Real Madrid will play each other in La Liga 2024–2025. With 30 points after 13 games, Los Blancos are ranked second in the standings. They have three draws, nine victories, and one defeat. Real Madrid enters this match fresh off a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in their most recent UEFA Champions League match. But in their most recent La Liga match, they defeated Leganes.

After the Catalans' loss to Las Palmas 24 hours earlier, Real Madrid is looking to get closer to Barcelona for the third straight matchday. After taking the lead in their local derby match against Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu, they are on track to win. Even though they haven't threatened Getafe goalkeeper David Soria, Carlo Ancelotti's team has controlled the early going. 

However, Jude Bellingham's penalty kick 30 minutes later gave the team the lead. Following Kylian Mbappe's absence against Liverpool in the middle of the week, Bellingham took over spot-kick duties. When Allan Nyom fouled him, Bellingham's cool composure allowed Antonio Rudiger to win the penalty.

This is the third straight matchday that Real Madrid is on track to close the deficit with Barcelona. At the Santiago Bernabeu, they have already extended their lead over Getafe after taking the lead at the half. Jude Bellingham gave the team the lead with a penalty kick, and with just a few minutes remaining before halftime, Kylian Mbappe's excellent strike put Real Madrid ahead 2-0.

Kylian Mbappe was heavily criticized for his poor performance 

Even though Kylian Mbappe was heavily criticized for his poor performance against Liverpool, he responded swiftly in his first Real Madrid game.The Santiago Bernabeu crowd erupted after he scored his eleventh goal of the season. 

Mbappe has been under fire lately, particularly following his costly missed penalty against Liverpool in the Champions League earlier this week. To launch his career at Real Madrid, that ambition should be quite beneficial to him.
