The game was paused for some moment, due to adverse weather conditions as there were continuous thunderstorms in the game, and the match was suspended by the referee. Rasmus Hojlund getting the best chance of the first half charged towards Germany's half, drawing Rudiger towards him, before squaring a pass to the Manchester United striker who failed to put it past Manuel Neuer.
In the second half, the game was opened, and the underdogs struck the first blood of the game with Joachim Andersen putting the ball in the net however it was cancelled out due to Delaney being offside during the buildup of the freekick taken by Christian Eriksen.

VAR disallows another goal
After five minutes of the incident, the host nation got a penalty with David Raum’s cross hit the hand of Andersen inside the box and Kai Havertz finally breaking the deadlock. As the underdogs went for the all-out attack in search of an equaliser they were opened in behind and a superb long ball from Nico Schlotterbeck found Jamal Musiala wide open in the Danish half as the Bayern striker did not fail to put it past Kasper Schmeichel.
The game was end to end and the underdogs performed well in the game trying their best to open the scoring but they failed to take their opportunities in the game as they were knocked out of the tournament, after their 2-0 loss.
