At the age of 39, Navas announced his retirement due to persistent hip issues, leaving behind an impressive legacy of 989 professional appearances, with 706 of those for Sevilla. His trophy collection includes 8 titles with the Andalusian club, 3 with Manchester City, and a remarkable achievement with the Spanish national team: a World Cup, two European Championships, and a Nations League title.

"In the last two minutes, I was already very emotional. I’m at peace knowing I gave it my all and brought happiness to so many people. Thank you to Real Madrid, the stadium, and their fans for the incredible affection—it’s been overwhelming," Navas said after the match.
