Cristiano Ronaldo has been arguably the greatest footballer of all time. The Portuguese captain is known for his prolific goal-scoring ability. He, along with the team, has already travelled to Germany for the UEFA Euro 2024 and will be in action on Tuesday night against the Czech Republic. CR7 will be leading Portugal to yet another major tournament after the 2022 FIFA World Cup upset he would like to end his final tournament on high by winning it. 

The former Manchester United footballer was present in the open training session in the German city of Gutersloh that allowed the public an early glimpse of the star footballer and his other teammates. There were only 6000 lucky fans who witnessed the greatest ever footballer live in the training session among the 50000 who applied. During the practice, there was a chaotic moment as over-enthusiastic fans ran onto the pitch to meet the 39-year-old footballer.

The pitch invader ran onto the field after jumping over the fences. He slipped past two oncoming security guards and hugged Ronaldo, before being quickly taken into custody. After letting the fan snap a selfie with him, Ronaldo held up his arms to ask the audience to be calm.

Will Ronaldo lead Portugal to another European Glory?

After some moments, more fans invaded the pitch and ran toward the players, with Portugal goalkeeper Jose Sa tackling one of the intruders before he could advance further. The 2016 Euro Cup winner will be playing at his sixth European Championship and already holds the record for most goals in the tournament. He will look to add more to his tally and win the championship as well. 

The former Real Madrid forward has been amazing throughout the season for Al Nassr, despite not winning any silverware in Saudi Arabia his achievements have been brilliant. He achieved a new individual milestone in the 2023/24 season. He surpassed Abderrazak Hamdallah's previously held record of 34 in the 2018/19 season as he scored 35 in the current season surpassing the footballer.
