Cristiano Ronaldo's sad reactions goes viral
The former Real Madrid player appeared visibly disappointed after the game and was observed speaking to himself on the pitch following the final whistle. He used gestures with his hands and feet that resonated with the opportunity he missed just minutes before the final whistle.
Kawasaki Frontale started the match on a high as Tatsuya Ito gave them an early lead in the 10th minute. Sadio Mane equalised for Al Nassr in the 30th minute. However, just minutes before halftime, Kawasaki retained the lead through Ozeki.
Proceedings became more dismal when Kawaski fired another goal in the 76th minute via Ienaga. Al-Nassr got one back through Yahya in the 87th minute and was almost on the brink of equalising in the final seconds of play. Cristiano Ronaldo made a brilliant run through the Japanese defence to receive the ball inside their box but mistimed the shot while being hounded by 3 defenders.
Following the defeat, Cristiano Ronaldo also shared his insights and thoughts on his X.
"Sometimes the dream has to wait. I’m proud of this team and everything we gave on the pitch. Thank you to all the fans who believed in us and stood by us every step of the way. Your support means the world," Ronaldo posted.
