WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo does 'SIUU' celebration for first time on this day 11 years ago

Cristiano Ronaldo's SIUU celebration is one of the most iconic celebrations. But it was 11 years ago today that the former Real Madrid star used it for the first time.

On 7th August 2013 was the first time that the world was able to see the ‘SIUU’ celebration from Cristiano Ronaldo. He headed home the goal in the Guinness International Champions Cup final against Chelsea and did the iconic celebration. Nobody at that time would have been able to think that the celebration would be done around the world. 

Cristiano Ronaldo delivered his former coach one last brilliant performance and gave Real Madrid a trophy in the process with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea. The Spanish powerhouses defeated their former coach, Jose Mourinho, who left the Bernabeu towards the end of the previous campaign to rejoin Chelsea, thanks to two goals from Ronaldo and one assist from the latter.

In the 14th minute, Marcelo scored the first goal for the Spanish squad at Sun Life Stadium in Miami via an effort from the edge of the box. Ramires, the Brazilian, scored for Chelsea two minutes later to tie the game at one, but from that point on, Ronaldo stole the show in the tournament final. 

Real Madrid took the lead again in the 31st minute thanks to one of his signature free kicks, and the match was won or lost 12 minutes later when he headed home a cross from midfielder Isco. This meant that the winner of 2013’s Guinness International Champions Cup was Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Brian Daniel Pintado imitated Cristiano Ronaldo's famous "Siuuu" goal celebration after winning the 20-kilometer walk gold at the Olympics. Despite putting his body in danger, the Ecuadorian persevered despite the scorching temperatures in Paris to win. 

The South American was able to be in top physical shape when it mattered most thanks to training akin to that of Ronaldo.Despite exhausting himself at the end of the race and collapsing to his knees in triumph, he nevertheless had enough energy left to perform Ronaldo's well-known goal celebration technique.
