A massive fight broke out in the Copa America 2024 final between Uruguay and Colombia players after the full-time whistle was blown at the Bank of America Stadium. The game between the two sides was anyways heated and the video did not show how the brawl started. Both sets of players were going up against each other and it may have been in the heat of the moment after a tough battle between the two nations.

Daniel Munoz was sent off earlier on in the first half which meant that the Colombia team had to play the rest of the second half with one less player. The team was united and gave it their all for the remainder of the match as they sealed their place in the final of the tournament. The goal in the first-half from Jefferson Lerma was enough to get them through. 

Which teams would play in the final and third place matches at the Copa America 2024?

Argentina and Colombia will compete in the Copa America 2024 championship final on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. After defeating Canada 2-0 in the opening semifinal, the defending champion Argentina advanced to the championship match and will have the opportunity to defend their record 16th crown. Colombia defeated Uruguay 1-0 during the second semifinal to extend their winning streak to 28 games. In 2001, Los Cafeteros claimed their lone Copa America championship. 

At the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, Canada and Uruguay will compete for third place in the Copa America 2024. Canada, participating in its maiden Copa America, surpassed predictions to go to the semifinals before falling to Argentina 2-0. The Albiceleste advanced to the championship game thanks to goals from Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez.

Uruguay, the joint-highest champion, lost 1-0 to a 10-man Colombia team in the Copa America semi-final, their first defeat of the competition. During first-half stoppage time, James Rodriguez assisted Jefferson Lerma scoring the game's only goal.
