Atalanta BC played Bayer Leverkusen in the final of the UEFA Europa League 2023-24 at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. Both sides have performed excellently throughout the tournament irrespective of how their domestic season went. As both of their seasons were contrasting with Italian side have performed decently as they are fifth in the table and almost secured their UEFA Champions League group stage qualification. On the other hand Leverkusen have been the side that have made amazing comebacks in the dying minutes of the game and have been 51 games unbeaten in the season.

However the final did not start well for Xabi Alonso's side as they conceded two early goals. With Ademola Lookman opening the scoring for the side in the 12th minute and the scoring his second from outside the box in the 26th minute. Despite the German team having chance to reduce the 2 goal lead they failed in the first half. The second half of the game was more in Atalanta's half as the Bundesliga champions created pressure over the side. After soaking in the pressure the Italian club hit back on the counter as the former Leicester City man scoring a hattrick in the final.

The Argentine keeper was good under the post as he made some decent saves and did brave outings for some balls as well. 

Berat Djimsiti-8

Djimsiti was robust at the back and dealt well with the constant pressure of the German club and blocked some shots and crosses as well. 

Isak Hien-8

The central defender was brilliant and rock solid at the back as he did not let Wirtz and Adli run inside the box or create any kind of chance for the side.  

Sead Kolasinac-6

The center back was brilliant in the first half as he matched with the pace of Adli and Frimpong in the backline. However was taken off ahead of the second half as he pulled his hamstring. 

Davide Zappacosta-7.5

The full back was good at the night did his job excellently, was good at the back and gave a lot of support in the attack as well. 

Ederson Silva-7.5 

The Brazilian was sensational in the middle of the park had a good time defending against the likes of Wirtz and Xhaka in the midfield. 

Teun Koopmeiners-7.5

Koopminers was all over the midfield destroying the attacks of the German team and controlled the game in the middle of the park. 

Matteo Ruggeri-7

The left full back was much better in the defensive half as he could not support the attack with Frimpong always trying running inside the box. Had some good battles with the Dutch wingback. 

Charles De Ketelaere-7.5

The creative midfielder was excellent in the game as he created a lot of trouble to the Leverkusen defence and he had the chance of scoring as well. Was a constant threat down the left flank. 

Ademola Lookman-10

The forward was brilliant as he scored a hattrick in the final and looked dangerous whenever he got the ball near the Leverkusen's box. Played the role of No.10 amazingly. 

Gianluca Scamacca-6.5

The striker was always in a problem for the Leverkusen defence. He assisted the final goal for Lookman and kept a constant pressure on the defenders won the ariel duels as well.

The goalkeeper could not have done with the three goals he conceded was not his night as he conceded a hattrick in the final.  

Edmond Tapsoba-4 

Tapsoba will be furious with himself as the English forward always got the better of him everytime he was 1v1 with the forward.

The club captain was decent in the night as he could not deal with Scamacca well with the striker's physical presence did not let him play freely. 

Piero Hincapie-4 

The left center back was not at his best as Zappacosta and Ketelaere created a lot of pressure on the side. 

Josip Stanisic-4.5

The right full back was not in his best of games as Zappacosta and Ketelaere created pressure over him and he was also not able to mark Lookman well as the forward always got past him. 

Exequiel Palacios-5.5 

The Argentine central midfidler was not in his game as he failed to take the control of the middle of the park tried creating some chances but the one final pass was lacking

Granit Xhaka-5 

The former Arsenal captain could not do much in the game as he failed to have the control in the midfield and neither give the defence splitting pass as well. 

Alex Grimaldo-6

The Spanish full back was decent on the night of the final as he got the best chance for the side to score the goal but he failed to chip over Musso in the first half. 

Jeremie Frimpong-6.5

The Dutch wing back was silent for the game as he could not deliver his best in the final had chances of scoring but he failed to capitalise. 

Florian Wirtz-7.5 

The German was the best man in the game as he tried to create the chances for the side, but failed to make the final delivery inside the box. He was all over the midfield in the second half of the game. 

Amine Adli-3

The forward was merely seen on the ball was well marked by Hien and could not do much of the impact in the game.
