Trent Alexander-Arnold suffers serious injury during Aston Villa encounter

Following his injury during the match against Aston Villa, Lee Carsley will be worried about Trent Alexander-Arnold's fitness. After smacking the deck with no one nearby, the Reds defender was substituted out in the twenty-fourth minute. Liverpool medical personnel hurried onto the field to the 26-year-old's aid after he appeared to have suffered a muscle injury. 

After running back to support the defense, he was spotted clutching the side of the right leg before collapsing. Although he was able to stand again, manager Arne Slot was unwilling to take the chance of allowing the defender to play again. The Dutchman quickly substituted Conor Bradley for him. The question of whether Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave the England group is still up in the air.

He was recently called up to play versus Greece and Ireland during the last two UEFA Nations League games. In an attempt to exact revenge for their 2-1 loss to the UEFA Euro 2004 champions last month, England will play Greece on Thursday.
