Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has come under fire for endorsing a breakfast mix that claims to provide a “balanced mix of protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals.” Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, known as “The Liver Doc,” has criticized the football legend for promoting this product. After Ronaldo shared images of himself using the breakfast mix, social media users took the opportunity to troll him for his endorsement.
Ronaldo's endorsement gets a 'fact-check'
Following the recent social media buzz surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's post, Dr Philips expressed his concerns regarding the football star's endorsement of the product, referring to it as a low-quality protein option.
A good way to start the day? A healthy breakfast. Herbalife Formula 1 delivers a balanced mix of protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.#Herbalife#HealthyBreakfastpic.twitter.com/0N3O59FWZP

He responded to the tweet by Al-Nassr striker highlighting that there are many superior protein supplements available in the market for consumers to consider, suggesting that Herbalife may not be the best choice. Dr Philips also mentioned that Ronaldo's breakfast routine likely doesn't include Herbalife products, implying that the endorsement may be only motivated by financial benefits.
“There are far more, better protein supplements in the market that consumers can spend money on, definitely not Herbalife,” the doctor wrote in an X post.
“Ronaldo may or may not know this, but his breakfast definitely DOES NOT involve Herbalife products and this is just a paid (I wonder how much!) promotion for the company,” he said.

No doubt. But Herbalife has no role in it.
Herbalife is a multilevel marketing pyramid scheme company which manufactures low quality mixed protein made from pea and soy and includes other dangerous botanicals, all the while… https://t.co/jsO4l5TH22
