Strongest FC Barcelona XI under Hansi Flick

FC Barcelona had a poor 2023/24 season, as they did not get a single trophy in the season, finished 2nd in La Liga and were also knocked out of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after losing to Paris Saint-Germain. They sacked their head coach Xavi after a tumultuous few days in the club as previously the Spanish manager himself wanted to leave the club however after that the management decided to keep him and then the parting ways happened. 

As per the rumours, former Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick will be taking over the charge ahead of the upcoming season. The German coach has been the favourite for taking charge from the next season as he himself has shown interest in managing the Catalonian club. With the things that stand there will be some footballers that might be leaving the club and some footballers to join the Blaugranes. 

Flick might be suggesting some names for the upcoming season for the club to sign in order to bolster their squad. But the majority of the squad will be the same. Barca presently have a huge financial crisis and they will look to sign players with lesser market values and transfer fees. Goalkeeper:

Marc Andre ter Stegen 

The German goalkeeper has been the finest under the post for the Catalonian club. The club's second captain despite having injuries has made a good comeback and given a sense of confidence to the back line. He will definitely be a starter for the side under Flick as there is no possible replacement for the shot-stopper, who has made 413 appearances for the club. 

Defenders: 

Joshua Kimmich

The Bayern Munich man is unhappy with the management, as the midfielder turned a full back have been one of the finest for the club over the years. As per the various reports, Kimmich has been linked to moving out of the club ahead of the upcoming season, as he dreamt of playing for Barcelona. The 29-year-old footballer idolised Xavi during the growth of his playing days. But since the Spaniard left the club he has time to think as he has played under Hansi Flick during his spell at the club.  

Ronald Araujo 

The Uruguayan defender has been rock solid at the back for the club, though some of his mistakes have cost the Spanish side in some crucial situations. However, he is just 25 right now and playing at such high levels the centre-back will have time for improvement in the near future. Despite his leaving rumours, he will be a first choice for the side under the German manager. 

Pau Cubarsi

The academy graduate has been exceptional since his debut for the club, and under Xavi, he has performed well showing excellent composure with the ball and with his tackling and interceptions as well. Cubarsi under Flick will be a huge success as the coach wants a ball-playing defender. 

Alejandro Balde

Alejandro Balde has been another graduate who has become the star for the side, after his injury in the last season he has been out of action, but his playing style suits Flick as he wants an attacking full-back who can make overlapping runs down the wings and help the attack as well. The Spaniard will be a key for the side in the upcoming season as his defensive ability, is better than Joao Cancelo as well. 

Midfielders: 

Frenkie de Jong 

The Dutch midfielder has been one of the finest box-to-box footballers, for the side. His work rate has been absolutely brilliant for the side over the years. There is a rumour that De Jong might leave the club after the end of the season, however, the highest-paid Barca footballer has been loved by the management and he will definitely start for the side if he stays with the club. 

Leon Goretzka

The Munich midfielder was the best man for the side under Flick as he played a brilliant brand of football under the German coach, giving stability in the middle of the park and his physical attributes will make him a first choice for the side. There are rumours that he might join the Blaugranes in the next season with Flick set to join the club.

Pedri

The Spanish midfielder has been the best young player for the side his work ethics and ability to dance through the defenders makes him a special player than the others. He also has improved his physical ability in recent years and has been a key member of the side. Flick who places more importance on physicality will love the footballer to gain some more muscles in the next season.

Attackers: 

Luis Diaz

The Colombian winger has been in reports for a possible switch of the club. He would love to join the Spanish Giants in the upcoming season as Barca have offered Liverpool Raphinha and some monetary value to seek the service of Diaz in the 2024/25 season. He will be a good addition to the squad since the club does not have any proper left-winger after Neymar left the club. 

Robert Lewandowski

The Polish forward has been quite decent in the 2023/24 season. Lewandowski's age has been a problem with the striker being a bit slow, but that does not rule out his prolific goalscoring ability. He has been a prime scorer for the side and in the 2023/24 season he scored 19 goals and was third in the leading goal scorers list. 

Lamine Yamal 

Yamal has been the best graduate from the academy the winger has shown a brilliant brand of football at a very young age, but with his physical ability he needs to do better however his finishing and crossing have been amazing. At the age of 16, he became the youngest goal scorer for the side as well. He will definitely try to shine more under Flick.
