In a unique fundraising effort, a hotel in Slovenia is putting Cristiano Ronaldo's bed up for auction. The Grand Plaza Hotel in Ljubljana hosted the Portuguese national team during their visit for a friendly match against Slovenia in late March. Now, the bed where footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo slept is set to be auctioned off, with proceeds going to charity.

“Since this was a rather special and unique event, we decided to prepare a unique surprise in which all fans can participate. We do not know when we will have the opportunity to host Ronaldo in Slovenia again. "At a special auction, we will offer the bed in which the star Cristiano Ronaldo slept at our place. We wish everyone good luck and successful participation in the event," a statement released by the hotel read.

This isn't the first time hotels have capitalized on celebrity stays, but the charitable aspect adds a new layer to the initiative. Fans get the chance to not only own a piece of memorabilia associated with the legend, but also contribute to a good cause.

The exact details of the bed remain undisclosed, but considering the Grand Plaza's reputation for luxury, it's likely a comfortable king sized option. Bidding will start at €5,000, making it a significant investment for dedicated fans. The auction, planned in collaboration with POP TV, a Slovenian media company, is sure to attract interest from collectors and Ronaldo admirers worldwide. While Portugal's match against Slovenia ended in a 2-0 defeat, the excitement surrounding Ronaldo's visit remains. Owning the bed offers a chance to possess a piece of that experience.

Ronaldo's second consecutive hat-trick headlines Al-Nassr's win vs Abha

Al Nassr crushed Abha in a dominant 8-0 victory on Tuesday. Cristiano Ronaldo continued his hot streak, scoring a second consecutive hat trick in just 3 days. What makes the achievement even more special is the fact that all his goals came in the first half itself. This win keeps Al Nassr on track, but they still trail league leader Al-Hilal by 12 points.
