They had an embarrassing last outing in the Champions League on November 28 when they were defeated by Liverpool 0-2. However, their star player, Vinicius Jr. has missed out on the last three matches for Madrid due to an injury. He was supposed to be back in the squad after the new year.

However, surprisingly, in the recently announced squad by the Los Blancos, it is being revealed that Vinicius is back and is set to be featured in a must-win UCL clash against Atlanta. There was another surprising inclusion in the team as Rodrygo is also set to make his comeback. However, it’d be interesting to see if any of them will be in the starting XI or not.

Atlanta haven't lost a single game in ongoing UCL season

Real Madrid are having a great winning momentum as they recently thrashed Girona 3-0. But the most important thing was their star players Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham scored for their team. If Madrid want to remain alive in UCL, they will need the services of their star players in almost all remaining games.

The defending champions are sitting at the 24th position in the points table and another loss from here will get them out of the top 24 list. But, since their most responsible player, Vinicus is back in the squad, the pressure will be less on them. On the other hand, Atlanta haven’t lost a single game in the ongoing season. They have registered three wins and two draws out of five matches they have played.
