The Qatari owners seem to be growing more and more estranged from the capital team as PSG enters a new, less flashy phase, and the Emir is apparently open to a generous offer.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is unwavering. There are going to be no changes at PSG despite the team's severe difficulties this season, which are exemplified by its current 25th-place standing in the Champions League. Even in the event that the squad is eliminated in the Champions League group stages, Luis Enrique will remain head coach. The president of Paris, who values teamwork above celebrity power, plans to continue with the initiative started this summer.

In a conversation alongside L'Equipe, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi said, “We have changed so much at the club in recent years, building a collective both on and off the pitch. We have strengthened the institution, and we have opened the best training center in the world in Poissy. I have complete confidence in the project, the coach, the sporting advisor (Luis Campos), and our team, and we will continue to evolve.”

“The shareholders have just spent €350m” : QSI Spokesperson

Furthermore, since the French champions' approach is in accord with opinions in Doha, which is where PSG story is seen with "considerable detachment," Al-Khelaïfi is far less inclined to make changes. Now that 2022 is over, football doesn't seem to be as important. Additionally, there have been requests to cut back on spending, especially on transfers. The ingratitude of the high-paid star players un the capital is another factor contributing to this.

Earlier today the QSI’s spokesperson said, “This is completely false, the same newspaper writes the same complete rubbish week and week again. The shareholders have just spent €350m on Poissy, with further major expansions at Campus just announced, and are looking to invest hundreds of millions on a new stadium, while increasing our investments across football, sports and entertainment, but apparently we are looking to sell.”
