Tottenham Hotspur played Manchester City in an all important English Premier League fixture on Tuesday. The Spurs who are in the urge of sealing the fourth spot for a qualification of the UEFA Champions League next season. The Sky Blues having a poor record at White Hart Lane travelled for a must win game for a possible fourth consecutive PL title. The first half was end to end with both sides had their chances to score with City had the two best chances but they failed to capitalise. In the dying moments of the first half City was denied twice by two great blocks from Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin respectively to keep the score 0-0.

The second half began in similar way with City having their chances with Kevin de Bruyne's shot was denied by Vicario and later Heung-min Son's gentle push was also saved in the near post by Ederson. Later on in the 51st minute Erilng Haaland did what he does the best by breaking deadlock for the side. Son failed to take on the chances and it came to haunt the side after Pedro Porro brought down Jeremy Doku inside the box in the 90th minute and Haaland once again scoring from the spot.

Guglielmo Vicario-8

The Italian was excellent in the game as he did not let City their half chances to convert made some valuable saves and without him the scoreline would have been different, however could not have done much for the goal he conceded.  

Pedro Porro-6

The full back good in the game marking Foden well however was caught out of position during the goal when the winger got a free run delivering the cross field ball. But he conceded a penalty on the dying minutes of the game. 

Cristian Romero-7

The Argentine center back was rock solid at the back and did not let Haaland touch the ball in the first half, however was caught out of position during the striker's goal. 

Micky van de Ven-6.5

The Dutch played a full back on the night and was good down the wings in the game made some overlapping runs and tried creating some chances. 

Rodrigo Bentancur-6 

Bentancur was good in the first half showed good composure with the ball he was brilliant in the middle of the park.  

Pierre Hojbjerg-6.5

The Danish footballer was good in the middle of the park controlled the game for Spurs and made good attacking runs as well. 

James Maddison-7

Maddison was excellent in the game he was brilliant down the wings and the in the final third tried delivering some balls and created chances for the side. 

Pape Sarr-6

Started as a No.10 for the side but only for the namesake as he was brought in the midfield area for the defensive ability and was decent in the area. 

Brennan Johnson-7.5

The winger was amazing down the wings making life difficult for Gvardiol. He with his pace was creating the chances for the side and was the best man on the pitch for the side. 

Heung-Min Son-3.5

The South Korean had the best chances in the game as he failed to capitalise on the chances, he was 1v1 with keeper twice and both ocassions he failed to put it past them.

Ederson-5

The Brazilian made some decent saves in the game however he was taken off after he collided with Cristian Romero while grabbing a ball. He was furious while he was substituted. 

Kyle Walker-4.5

Walker was off in the game however he made some runs in the first half of the game, but was not much involved in the second half did his defensive duties decently. 

Ruben Dias-6.5

Dias was robust in defence as he made crucial interceptions and blocks inside the box, failed to mark Son's runs as the winger went past him but he was relieved after it was saved by Ortega. 

Manuel Akanji-7

The Swiss was excellent with the ball showed lot of composure and made some good interceptions in the game clearing out the dangerous situations calmly. 

Josko Gvardiol-6.5

Gvardiol yet again showed why he is such a highly rated player, went in the attacks and tried scoring goals. However was much decent in his defensive duties matching with the pace of Brennan Johnson. 

Rodri-5.5

The Spanish was not in his best as he could not control the tempo of the game made unnecessary fouls in the middle area could not match with the pace of Maddison. 

Mateo Kovacic-5.5

Kovacic was also decent in the middle of the park was pressed whenever he was on the ball could not create much in the midfield area. 

Bernardo Silva-5

The Portugues was decent in the game not having enough chances in the attacking third and create the chances for the side. 

Kevin De Bruyne-7

De Bruyne was silent for most of the game had the chances of scoring once in the second half was denied however did what he does the best providing an assist to Haaland for the first goal. 

Phil Foden-7.5

The winger had the best chance in the first half after he the miss-kicked ball by Hojbjerg fall to him but he was denied by a super save from Vicario. He was indirectly involved for both goals of the game.  

Erling Haaland-7

The striker silent for the whole game as he was not let to touch any balls inside the box. But the goal poacher did what he does after scoring the first goal of the game with a tap in. The Norweigian scored from the penalty that was earned by Doku.

The winger made a serious impact with his pace created trouble in the wings and earned the penalty after he was brought down by Porro.

Excellent since coming on made three brilliant saves out of which was a 1v1 against Son in the dying minutes of the game. The saves earned him the player of the match as well.
