Manchester United were on the verge of a much-deserved victory but a later equalizer from Liverpool in the second half made sure that the points were shared.

Manchester United hosted their arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on the 31st Matchday of the English Premier League. Luis Diaz opened the scoring for the away side and his team led the scoreline at half-time. Strikes from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo got the lead for the hosts in this encounter. A late penalty from Mohammad Salah brought the Reds level and the score remained the same till the end. Let’s take a look at the player ratings from the game between Liverpool and Manchester United. 

Ratings for the game: -

Andre Onana - 7.5

The goalkeeper was not at fault for both the goals and was great with his distribution in this encounter. 

Diogo Dalot - 8

The full-back had a great time in this game and was able to stop the attacks from the left flank of the opposition on most occasion. 

Harry Maguire - 7.5

The centre-back was solid in defence today and despite the pressure put on him, he remained calm.

Willy Kambwala - 7

The centre-back was mature with his decisions and created some interceptions which helped the side a lot. 

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 5

The left-back was at fault for conceding the penalty and was not able to keep up with the Liverpool attacks in this game.

Kobbie Mainoo - 8.5

Another great game from the youngster as he was able to get in some crucial passes for his side in both defence and attack. His first goal at Old Trafford was also the second goal for his team in this game.

Casemiro - 6

The defensive midfielder was poor with his possession in this game and was lucky not to be carded after a few heavy tackles.

Bruno Fernandes - 8

It was a mediocre game for the playmaker as he was creating opportunities for the team. But was present when it mattered the most to score the equaliser for the side. 

Alejandro Garnacho - 8.5

It was unfortunate that his amazing finish was deemed offside but was a bright spark in the attack for the home side.

Rasmus Hojlund - 6

Seems like his poor run of form has come back again. His hold up play was great in this game and created some chances as well

Marcus Rashford - 5.5

Another poor performance from the English winger as he was lazy to come back on the defence and was later subbed off with an injury.

Substitutes -

Antony - 5

The winger did create some chances but could not muster anything much for the hosts after coming on in the game.

Sofiyan Amrabat - 4

The midfielder was mostly absent from the game and did not do anything significant for the home team.

Caoimhin Kelleher - 6

The keeper was caught off-guard for both the United goals but also provided some crucial saves for the team in this game. 

Connor Bradley - 6.5

The young defender was bright but was clumsy in getting a yellow card within the first ten minutes of the game itself.

Jarell Quansah - 5

It was his misplaced pass that let United through on goal and from that error, they were able to equalise. 

Virgil Van Dijk - 7.5

The Dutch centre-back was great at the back and was leading the defence once again in this game. The defender was not at fault for either of the two goals.

Andrew Robertson - 7

The left back was key in the defence and kept the attackers in check for most of the game. In the attack, he was able to put in some great crosses as well.

Wataru Endo - 6.5

The defensive midfielder was once again good in this game and was able to get possession of the ball for his team throughout the encounter.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 7

The attacking midfielder was able to test the keeper in the first half a lot of times but could not register anything significant for the side.
 
Alexis Macallister - 7.5

The midfielder was amazing in this game and was directing some great passes into the offence for the away 

Luis Diaz - 8

The winger caused a lot of trouble to the United defence with his skill and pace. He also grabbed the opening goal of the game in the first half.

Darwin Nunez - 7.5

The forward was making key runs in front of the opposition defence but could not finish off some chances as well. He was the player who got the assist for the first goal.

Mohammad Salah - 8.5

The superstar Liverpool attacker was again a menace for the opposition. He kept testing the keeper on various occasions as well

Curtis Jones - 4.5

The midfielder got a yellow after coming on and was invisible for the rest of the time he was there.

Harvey Elliot - 7

The playmaker won the penalty for his side which helped them equalise in the second half and was creating good chances as well.
