Aston Villa F.C. after the 3-1 win against Bournemouth hosted Chelsea FC at the Villa Park. The home side started brilliantly as the opened the scoring in the 4th minute of the game after Lucas Digne's cross was met by John McGinn whose shot got deflected of Marc Cucurella's leg going inside. The Blues kept the pressure piling on but failed to open and against the run of play Villa scored the second in the 42nd minute with Morgan Rogers low strike added the insurance goal.

Chelsea did not made the chances go in vain in the second half as they started pressing up the field and it paid off with Noni Madueke scoring the first goal for the side and then captain Conor Gallagher making 2-2 in the last 10 minutes. Cole Palmer had the best chance to win it but he failed to convert in 1v1 situation.

Emiliano Martinez-5

The Argentine shot-stopper was barely test by the Chelsea forwards as he was taken off after the first half due to a hamstring issue with important games coming up the coach did not want to risk him. 

Matty Cash-7

Cash was brillinat in his assigned roles he gave equal contributions in the defense and attacking terms as well. 

Ezri Konsa-4.5

He had tough times against Jackson with the long balls being played and failed to have serious impact in the back line. 

Pau Torres-6

The Spanish defender had a decent outing after won some good ariel duels at the defensive areas. 

Lucas Digne-6.5

The French left-back was excellent in the night and created the first goal and delivered some good crosses in the box and had a good battle with Noni Madueke down the wings. 

Leon Bailey-5.5

Bailey was decent in the midfield and shifted towards the wings and made time tough for Cucurella. Otherwise had a off game as was not much involved in the attacks. 

Youri Tielemans-2

The Belgian did not have the best of times as he had to come off due to an injury in the 27th minute of the game. 

Douglas Luiz-5.5

Luiz did excatly the role he has been doing destroyed the Blues's attack, but failed to control the game made some fouls in the middle of the park. 

Morgan Rogers-7

Rogers was good in the wings as he danced through the attacking third troubling Trevoh Chalobah and scored the second goal for the team as well. 

John McGinn-6

McGinn was decent in the game, he was more involved in the first half than second as he had some defensive duties back inside his own half. Although his touch was deflected by Cucurella that ended up in the net. 

Ollie Watkins-3.5

Watkins was merely seen in the game as he had one shot in the whole match was well marked by the Chelsea defenders.

Could not have done much for the first goal but he should have saved the second one after he conceded from the near post of the goal. Overall had a decent outing. 

Trevoh Chalobah-5

The right back had tough times against Rogers in the wings and with Digne linking up he was struggled and could not help in the attack with more pressure in defensive areas. 

Thiago Silva-7

Silva did not much problems in the back line as he marked Ollie Watkins well and did not let him go past him and made won the ariel duels against the striker as well and made tactical foul to stop Villa scoring. 

Benoit Badiashile-6.5

Badiashile was good alongwith Silva as his partner made the most of his start and kept Watkins silence for the game. 

Marc Cucurella-5.5

The Spanish full back had a decent outing as he was caught out during the counter attack of Villa and scored an own goal for the side. Attackingly was more involved in the wings. 

Moises Caicedo-7.5

Was excellent in the middle of the park destroyed the attacks of the home side and was involved in the counter attacks of the Blues as well. He was dominant in the midfield throughout the game. 

Conor Gallagher-7.5

Was excellent in the game as the captain scored the most important goal as he striked one beautiful left-footed shot from outside the box making 2-2 for the side. 

Noni Madueke-7

Madueke was brilliant in the wings creating problems everytime he was with the ball on the left hand side of the home team and had a good battle with Digne.  

Cole Palmer-5

Palmer was off as he could not have much chances and failed to capitalise on the golden chance he got and that showed how his game went. 

Mykhailo Mudryk-5.5

Mudryk all the game was trying to get to create problems for the side but he failed to create any as was well managed by Cash. 

Nicolas Jackson-4.5

Horrifying performance from the striker as he failed to score for his side had the golden opportunites to score but his header struck the post and once he was offside.
