Manchester City won their fourth consecutive English Premier League on Sunday. The Sky Blues after beating West Ham United 3-1 on the final day of the league made the impossible look possible as the club became the first side to win four consecutive titles in the 136-year history of the league. This is their 6 title in seven years under Pep Guardiola, as the Spanish manager is right behind Sir Alex Ferguson in most PL titles. 

The Spanish manager has been one of the finest tacticians in world football and has won several trophies in Spain, and Germany and now he is doing the same in England. Currently, he has six league titles, 2 FA Cups, 4 Carabao Cups, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup and 2 Community Shields. The manager still has a year's contract left with the club. 

After the game, he dropped a shocking comment when asked about the possible extension of his contract with the Manchester club, he believes he has done enough for the club and has found himself wondering what else left is there for him to achieve at City, the Spaniard has no intention of renewing the contract furthermore with the club after his contract expires in 2025. 

Pep Guardiola to coach for national team next?

The City manager said after the win, "The reality is I'm closer to leaving than to staying. It's eight years, will be nine. Right now my feeling is I want to stay next season. We talked with the club, we have time to talk next season." He has not decided yet on his future and will discuss next season with the club.

Previously, he urged that he plans to stop coaching after his stint at the English club and do some assessments to take inspiration, have the desire to coach a national team in the near future of the game, whether in South America or Europe and wants to play in the Copa America. Brazil is a team in severe need of a coach, and he can join them before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
