AS Roma faced off against Udinese in the Serie A game on Sunday night. The two teams are having a contrasting league so far, with Roma competing for the spot in the UEFA competitions for the next season. They are already in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League and are 1-0 up against AC Milan. However, the game against Udinese which was tied 1-1 was suspended by the match officials as a defender collapsed in the ground during the match. 

Roma defender Evan Ndicka collapsed during the 70th minute of the game and the game was called off for the very reason. As he was stretched off from the field. The referee Luca Pairetto after having a serious discussion with both the managers decided to call off the game. The defender was taken to the hospital, however, he was conscious went he was taken off the pitch. 

The Magic One club have been inconsistent with their form as they were drawing with 15th place Udinese they have the chance to even qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season as they are four points behind the 4th spot with still one game to be played. But ahead of that they have a game coming up on Thursday as they will be hosting Milan for the 2nd leg. 

Is Ndicka feeling well? 

After Ndicka was taken to the hospital his teammates paid a visit to the defender. The Serie A club posted on Twitter about the very same thing, they stated, "The squad went to visit Ndicka at the hospital. Evan is feeling better and is in good spirits. He will remain in the hospital for further observations. 

Udinese also shared a message of support for the defender. 'We are with you, Ndicka.' However, it has been informed that the rest 20 minutes of the game will be played on some other date as the confirmation is yet to come from the official Serie A committee.
