Manchester United Victor Osimhen

Joshua Zirkzee will be sent to Napoli by Manchester United in order to sign Victor Osimhen, their top forward. Only six months after moving from Bologna to Old Trafford, Zirkzee may leave Manchester United during the January transfer window. With merely a single goal in 17 games for the team, the Dutch attacker has fallen short of expectations. Osimhen of Napoli is a target for the Red Devils, who are hoping to strengthen their assault in the forthcoming transfer window under newly appointed boss Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United has an approach to sign the Nigerian striker for a significantly lesser price than his existing release clause, which has been valued at €75 million (£63 million/$79 million), according to Il Mattino (via CN24). By sending Zirkzee the opposite direction in a cash-plus-player deal, the English team hopes to persuade Napoli to let Osimhen visit Manchester. Their first offer will be €30 million (£25 million/$31 million) in cash. The Premier League powerhouses may have an issue with Osimhen's pay, though, as the striker now earns €11 million (£9 million/$11 million) a season under his current contract with the Serie A team.

Will Napoli accept this deal for Victor Osimhen?

Given that they may offer Joshua Zirkzee a part-exchange agreement to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, Manchester United's interest in him makes sense. Harry Kane is one of numerous strikers who have come to Manchester United's attention. However, Osimhen is certainly a feasible aim for the Premier League giants, and they may offer Zirkzee in a weird part-exchange arrangement to capture the 25-year-old forward from Napoli next season.

The Serie A powerhouses' willingness to include Zirkzee in the sale of the Nigerian forward is unknown. The Partenopei may not require another striker now that Romelu Lukaku is establishing himself at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. However, it will be intriguing to observe if Manchester United is able to get Osimhen through a partial trade.
