Manchester United have had a poor season in the English Premier League as they finished 8th in the league table. But however they qualified for the UEFA Europa League after winning the FA Cup final against city rivals Manchester City. Erik ten Hag side's outperformed the reigning EPL champions on Saturday at Wembley. The Red Devils lost 14 games in a single season which is the most by the side in the single season.

They also finished at the bottom of the table of the UEFA Champions League group stage and that was their worst performance in the UCL history. Ten Hag's job has been under immense pressure after the season as the INEOS group is set to have a review meeting for the coach if they feel that the Dutch coach should continue or not. However the 54-year-old coach's fate might have taken a bit of turn after he won the FA Cup.

The management after their dismal season sent an open letter to the fans stating that the season 'overall has not been good enough.' They promised to bring more success to the "special" club, saying there was "so much more to achieve together." Their season ended in the Premier League, which was their lowest top-flight finish since 1989-90.

To every Manchester United fan, we all know that this club is special: Manchester United

The letter read, "To every Manchester United fan, we all know that this club is special. Yesterday’s game was yet another reminder of that. As we fought to win the FA Cup, the incredible atmosphere you generated inside Wembley helped push us over the line. Celebrating all together was beautiful. Fans, staff, players — all united as one. Those memories will live with us forever."

"It was a further reminder that with your support behind us, and the United badge on our chests, we can achieve great things. We know how much this club means to so many people — in Manchester and around the world. The backing you have given to us, even during times when we fell short of the standards that we set for ourselves, has been unbelievable."
