Manchester City take strong stance against online hate over Kyle Walker

Premier League champions, Manchester City's defender Kyle Walker was subjected to online hate and trolling after the club's embarrassing defeat against Juventus.

Manchester City has issued a strong statement in response to defender Kyle Walker sharing a screenshot of the racist abuse he encountered on social media after the team's recent match against Juventus. Despite the team's defeat, in which Walker played the full 90 minutes, the focus now is on addressing the unacceptable online behaviour online.

Walker's message on Instagram 

On Thursday afternoon, Walker shared a message on Instagram about the troubling abuses he received following last night's match.

In his post, he emphasized that no one should have to endure the harmful, racist, and threatening messages that have been circulating online. He called on Instagram and relevant authorities to take action to prevent such behavior.

Walker expressed his commitment to keep working hard for fans and the community and move forward together as a united team.

'No one should ever be subject to the sort of vile, racist and threatening abuse I have received online since last night's match. @instagram and the authorities need to stop this happening for the sake of all who are suffering this abuse. It is never acceptable.To our fans, we will continue to work as a team to do better, to improve, and to turn the corner together.' He captioned.
