Julian Alvarez has been one of the most promising strikers of this generation. The Argentine youngster has really been impressive in recent years. He has been a star for the La Albiceleste in their FIFA World Cup 2022 winning campaign in Qatar as he was the second-highest goal scorer for the side and was in the top 3 for leading goal scorer for the tournament with four goals to his name.

The former River Plate footballer presently features for Manchester City, but he has not been the first-choice starter for Pep Guardiola's side as Erling Haaland starts the majority of the matches for the current English Premier League champions. He participated 54 games in the 2023/24 season scoring 19 goals and 13 assists across all competitions for the Manchester club. Due to every factor, he has been linked to leaving the club at the end of the season.

However, as per the recent developments, the Sky Blues are not interested in selling the footballer and will not accept any loan proposal from other clubs. The footballer's main reason of leaving the club was more game time which he was not provided and despite offers from several clubs they want to continue with the striker till the contract ends.

Alvarez to stay at Manchester City

On Friday a comment from Alvarez's national teammate Enzo Fernandez sparked rumours of his possibly moving to the West side of London and joining Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain who was also interested in the striker held talks with his agent in recent days. Previously Atletico Madrid also was in the rumours of pursuing the striker.

Amidst all the turmoil he is focused on the upcoming Copa America as he would like to display his talent once again alongside Lionel Messi and help the Blues and Whites defend their regional trophy. The team has been almost the same as the side that was there for the World Cup in 2022.
