Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and other football icons attend Super Bowl 2025

Lionel Messi, the star of Argentina and Inter Miami, along with many other football players were present in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, to see the Philadelphia Eagles winning Super Bowl title.

Lionel Messi, the star of Argentina and Inter Miami, was present in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, to see the Philadelphia Eagles winning Super Bowl title. Philadelphia Eagles defeated Kansas City Chiefs who where aiming for third title in row.The forward was spotted with his sons, who seemed to be cheering for separate teams.

Thiago, the oldest, was seen sporting an Eagles shirt, while the other two children were holding hands while sporting Patrick Mahomes' jersey. On the other hand, Lionel Messi, wore Adidas dress for the final event. Lionel Messi, Pattrick Mahomes and the Chiefs do have some history together, though. Last April, the two studs faced off when Inter Miami defeated Sporting Kansas City 3-2 at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes used that day's occasion to speak with the Argentine briefly.

Not only did Lionel Messi attend the final game his Inter Miami teams, including Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, were present to watch the Super Bowl final match.  Ahead of their final preseason matchup with Orlando City, Jordi Alba posted a picture of his current Miami and old Barcelona teammate. Inter Miami ended club friendlies and will play in the CONCACAF Champions League against Sporting Kansas City on 19th Feb.

Other footballers who attended the game

To ensure they wouldn't miss the game, Atletico Madrid players Antoine Griezmann and Koke went from the capital of Spain. A few days back Atletico Madrid drew the game against Real Madrid as they narrowed the points in the La Liga title race.

While the current Ballon d’Or winner Rodri was also seen at the stadium enjoying the game. Rodri is recovering from an ACL injury. Rodri absence has affected Manchester City a lot as they have struggled in recent. Manchester City are facing Real Madrid in play off game in UEFA Champions League. With Rodri name added to the squad they get a boost.
