Messi gained his first team spot fast after starting his football career at the prestigious La Masia academy. He has accumulated 672 goals and 303 assists in 778 games, making him the all-time leader in both categories. Lionel Messi playing for Inter Miami

Lionel Messi made his Barcelona debut on October 16, 2004, this was when Barcelona played Espanyol in La Liga. Following an amazing career with Barcelona, Messi left the team in 2021. He oversaw La Blaugrana's ten La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey trophies, and four UEFA Champions League titles. Due to Barcelona's financial issues, Messi was unable to extend his contract, therefore he signed a free agent contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Presently, he is a member of Inter Miami's Major League Soccer team. A contract extension with Inter Miami is imminent for the Argentina international, who hopes to maintain his chances of playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
