France has already announced their 25-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024, which is scheduled to take place in Germany from 15th June. The Les Blues have been one of the most dominant sides in world football with the amount of quality they possess in their team. They qualified for the back-to-back finals of the FIFA World Cup winning in 2018 and losing to Argentina in 2022 in Qatar.

Didier Deschamps has made a superstar team perform on the pitch and has handled the dressing room very well. The side has been in amazing form as the men will be making their way to the Euros without having any defeat on their name before losing two friendlies against Germany. But the two losses do not show the quality they have in their team. Kylian Mbappe who has been in the headlines in recent times, will be captaining the side for the first time in any major tournament.

They have brought back N’Golo Kante who has been a surprise for the fans as the midfielder has not played a single game for the country since he moved to Saudi Club Al Ittihad last year. The fans will be hoping for a similar kind of performance he did for the nation in the 2018 World Cup. In 2020 they lost in the RO16 as Mbappe missed the last penalty for the side.

Who starts in goal for France?

They have not won the European competition, since 2000 and will be eyeing for the major silverware. They have been drawn with the likes of the Netherlands, Poland and Austria, the opponents have a good team to compete against and it will be much difficult for the side to get through the group stage. However Mbappe after taking the leadership role will be under much pressure with his performance. As the tournament nears we will be looking at how the Les Blues will be lining up for the upcoming tournament.

They will be going for the 4-2-3-1 formation. Alphonse Areola who had a decent season will start in goal, and the defenders lining up will be Jonathan Clauss at the right, in the centre Jules Kounde and Ibrahima Konate will be pairing up and in the left Theo Hernadez will be there.  Coming to the midfield it will be two holding midfielders, N'Golo Kante and Eduardo Camavinga, with three up in the front Antoine Griezmann playing right behind Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele on the wings.

Here's the possible XI

Alphonse Areola, Jonathan Clauss,  Jules Kounde, Ibrahima Konate, Theo Hernadez, N'Golo Kante, Eduardo Camavinga, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Olivier Giroud
